Runnong Water-Saving and Northwest A&F University Deepen Industry-University-Research Cooperation to Facilitate Agricultural Modernization

On August 8, Hebei Runnong Water-Saving Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Runnong Water-Saving") and Northwest A&F University (hereinafter referred to as "Northwest A&F University") held an exchange forum at Shanxi Runnong New Materials Eco-Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shanxi Runnong"). The two parties conducted in-depth exchanges on technological breakthroughs and practical applications of intelligent irrigation equipment. Ding Huijun stated that with the research support from Northwest A&F University, the company has achieved breakthroughs in material research and development as well as intelligent control systems, and the precision and durability of the irrigation systems have been significantly improved. The cooperation between the two parties will overcome the difficulties in water-saving for dryland agriculture, promote the transformation of irrigation technology towards intelligence and high efficiency, and add impetus to agricultural modernization.

At present, through joint efforts in building doctoral workstations, conducting collaborative technological research to tackle key problems, and promoting demonstration projects, the two parties have achieved remarkable results in fields such as water-saving irrigation, integrated water and fertilizer management, and smart agriculture. Professor Zhu Delan, leader of the doctoral team from Northwest A&F University, introduced the application results of the integrated water and fertilizer technology in the experimental field at the meeting. This technology not only significantly improves the water-saving rate but also ensures a steady increase in crop yields.
The two parties plan to further strengthen cooperation in the next step in areas including the upgrading of intelligent irrigation equipment, the construction of demonstration parks, and technical training and talent cultivation.
Those attending the meeting included: from Northwest A&F University – Associate Professor Liu Ze, research assistants Li Bo and Zhu Jinfu, postdoctoral fellow Zhang Rui, and doctoral student Li Luming; from Runnong Water-Saving – Shang Zhenqing, Technical Director of the Engineering and Technology Department, An Shengxin, Assistant General Manager and Director of the R&D Department; from Shanxi Runnong – Zhang Yuchuan, Person in Charge, Wei Zhansheng, Strategic Development Consultant, and An Meili, Director of the Environmental Protection Business Division.
